Northwest College of Art & Design (NCAD) is a private for-profit higher education institute. The college was established in 1982 by Craig N. Freeman. The college moved to its campus in Poulsbo, Washington in the early 1990s. It was relocated in 2017 to a new campus in downtown Tacoma.

The college states that its mission is to prepare the students to get rewarding opportunities within the creative careers. Its current campus is located in a modern 7-story building in Pacific Ave. It covers occupies 22,000 square feet in the building which covers 38,000 square feet in total. The campus offers some specialized facilities including 3 lecture rooms, 3 computer labs, and an art studio room in addition to multipurpose space for student use.

The college offers 6 degree programs granting Bachelor of Arts and Associate of Occupational Studies degrees. Northwest is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges. Students enrolled at the college are offered several scholarship programs including Henry H. Freeman, Robert B. Mcmillen Foundation and the Barbara Krell Memorial Scholarships. Students may also apply to financial aid program.
