Duties

The duties of a Religious Education Coordinator include the following:

  • Work with an allotted budget to determine the resources needed for efficient operation of programs, such as photocopying equipment, textbooks, etc.
  • Make certain that there is consistency between educational curriculum of different religious programs, in accordance with the teachings of said religious order/sect, while encouraging opportunities for growth among volunteers.
  • Provide leadership to the religious institution regarding building projects, ministries, functioning of day to day schedules and facility updates.
  • Improve and execute communications in different forms, like webpages, emails, mailers, calls, etc. to expand outreach and ensure a smooth flow of information to those interested in participating in programs.
  • Keep a religious education database updated with the name, phone, postal and email addresses of students; perform frequent quality control checks and network with other office staff as needed to keep all data accurate.

Day In The Life

In this type of role, you will be performing a variety of administrative work through developing and implementing lesson plans, making recommendations for improvement, monitoring student registrations and supervising library systems. In your day to day routine, you must make time for different commitments like attending educational training, events and conferences to keep track of best practices in subject matter and other resources.
