About SUNY College of Technology at Delhi
A public higher education institute, Delhi traces its roots to the State School of Agriculture and Domestic Science which was founded in year 1913 after its proposal was continuously rejected for over the years since 1910. Its founder were the two sisters, Elizabeth and Amelia, while the former initially presented proposal, it was the latter who achieved the goal.
It was in 1948 became a chartered member of the State University of New York system. In 1964, the institute was awarded the status of a ‘college’ and since then has been on the mission to equip students with knowledge for lifelong success in professional and personal fronts.
Students Activities at the campus of the SUNY College of Technology at Delhi help the students grow while also assimilating with the campus life through various cultural, social, educational and recreational opportunities. Students enjoy taking part in more than 60 student led clubs as well as fraternities and sororities. Besides these, there are also leadership activities in the form of serving as Orientation leaders, running student government or the senate, resident assistant or peer educators. Students also engage in community service which helps elevate leadership qualities; the center for community engagement arranges activities for the students to volunteer for causes and projects, or the non profit organisations. Students are also formally trained for being responsive towards their community needs through the Serving Learning Program on campus. For entertainment, the campus also helps many events such as movies screenings, Broadway shows, bowling, skating and others. The campus also has its unique traditions like Family Day, Move-In Crew, Fall Weekend, Winterfest and some more. The students also participate in athletic events at USCAA and NAIA. The campus mascot is ‘Bronco’ and the colors are Green, White and Gold.
The Academic programs offered at Delhi are 30 Associate degree programs, 16 Bachelors degree program and two Masters degree programs which are offered online. Its prestigious facilities are Mildred & Louis Resnick Library, Kunsela Hall Aquatics Center, Gerry Hall, Russell Hall, Catskill Hall, Dubois Hall and many others.
