About Miami Regional University
Miami Regional University is a private for-profit institute located in Miami Florida. It was established in 1996. It initially operated as a management consulting, training and human development institution to provide daily support to people in managing their businesses. Three years later the institute made an agreement with CareerSource South Florida before expanding its agreement with CareerSource Broward, Vocational Rehabilitation, and the Veteran’s Administration. The educational school was established in 2001 under the name of Management Resources Institute based on a license from the Florida Commission of Independent Education. At this time, the institute prepared a curriculum to prepare foreign graduate to become certified teachers in Florida State. Six years later, the college was accredited by the Council on Occupational Education (ACICS). The college achieved the university status in 2016 changing its name to Miami Regional University. Since December 2016, the ACICS became no longer recognized by the Department of Education and the university has an allowance period till 2018 to seek another accreditation from another entity to remain recognized.
The university campus covers 60,000 square feet. The official colors of the university are gold and blue.
The university is divided into two schools offering a bachelor degree program, an associate degree program, a diploma program and 3 master’s degree programs.
