Dordt is a private liberal arts college that was founded in year 1953 as a junior college named as Midwest Christian Junior College. The institute officially held instructions, two years later in 1955 with only 35 students. As it gained prominence among the region, the enrolment grew and the junior college progressed becoming a four year college.
