CBT College is a for-profit higher education institute which was founded in the year 1988 by Fernando Llerena and Gladys Llerena, two educators who had travelled from Peru and had a vision for an education and career preparatory institute. It was originally called Business & Technology Institute and by year 200 had achieved major milestones: added Associate degree programs and had received accreditation.

It was then renamed as College of Business and Technology. The college is based in Miami, Florida and added three more campuses; another in Miami, in Hialeah, in Flagler and in Cutler Bay. With its dedication to its mission of providing for the academic needs of its communities, the college continues to offer modern day education with a focus on career readiness.

At the campus, students enjoy and get benefitted from every resource and opportunity that is aimed at making them fully trained for entering their desired professions and fields. There are facilities and labs at the campus that let the students have the advantage of the hands-on learning experience. Besides this, another unique learning opportunity comes in the form of refresher courses which help the students refresh and update their skills. The faculty at the college is working professionals in their fields, which ensures up to date knowledge and practical experiences are provided for the students to learn from. Students struggling to find to their aid tutoring and personal assistance in academic as well as non-academic matters. There are also guest speakers and workshops arranged for the students to enhance their educational experience. CBT College also offers a flexible schedule to help those students who have either work or other commitments, to not miss out on their educational opportunities. Additionally, students benefit from career services which include career guidance but also job search, help with resume writing and devising cover letters, preparing for interviews. There are also job fairs and other involvement activities provided to students to help them develop networks and increase chances of success.
