About California University of Management and Sciences
A Private not for profit higher education CALUMS was founded in 1998 by Dr. David Park. The institute based and chartered in Anaheim, California, and was established on three basic principles by Dr. Park. A changing landscape in society, business and education made him realize the importance of incorporating these changes in education and academics and so he founded CALUMS. The idea was the value of education through practical application, the adaptability and utility of the education provided and lastly to be technologically advanced.
The university in its short span of time has stayed true to its traditions and has become a place not just for advanced education but also where students learn about ethical reasoning and a lifetime use of their knowledge. It also brings out individual creativity in each of its students helping them towards self actualisation.
As each student walks in the California University of Management and Sciences, they are inducted into the university life through the orientation program where the students are introduced to the campus and surrounding but also the policies and with the faculty. In addition to this, there is Library Orientation where students are also familiarised with library and the resources it offers. Additionally there is computer laboratory which is another academic resource offered for students to learn and practice skills. The students while their time at the CALUMS, also take part in extracurricular activities that helps maintain their education outside classrooms. There are opportunities for sports as well as participation in sponsorship tournaments. There are also off campus clubs and organisations. There are also community services and event hosting for students.
CALUMS offers a Certificate program, an Associate Program, three Bachelor’s degree programs and five Master’s degree programs. The institute has two other campuses besides Anaheim Campus; in Virginia and San Diego.
