About California State University-Fullerton
A Public research university, Cal State Fullerton was established as a state college in the year 1957. It was to be the 12th degree granting college in the CSU system. It was originally named as Orange County State College and started instructions after two years of establishment in 1959. The college was renamed once again in 1962, before becoming California State College at Fullerton in 1964. As it transitioned into a university it took on its new name in 1972.
California State University-Fullerton is one of those campuses of CSU which is strictly dedicated to bringing educational transformation. It provides intellectual development and cultural exposure. It combines students and faculty on personal and academic development as well as research initiatives. The university is located in Fullerton, California.
Student life at Cal State Fullerton is composed of activities, organisations, events, educational experiences and much more. There are more than 350 student clubs and opportunity for every individual to find something of interest and learning. The campus offers Greek Life and also various opportunities for involvement in community service through volunteering opportunities. These include Blood Drives, Hunger Coalition and others. The students get involved in women empowerment initiatives which provide leadership opportunities as well as raising awareness and voicing concerns. The Associated Students, Inc. at the campus brings events for the students such as Billiards Tournament, movie nights, literary events and others. Similarly, there is athletic participation by its teams, ‘Titans’ at NCAA Division I. The official colors are Orange, Navy Blue and White and its mascot is Tuffy the Titan.
The academic programs consist of 57 undergraduate and 50 Master’s programs and two doctorate programs, in education and nursing practice. Its notable department is the Steven G. Mihaylo College of Business and Economics and its prominent facility is the Pollak Library
