About California Intercontinental University

A Private university serving in the field of online education, CIU began in 1996. It was founded by Dr. Shawn Senthil Kumar as EdNET, an institute established to provide education in the field of IT and with branches around the globe. Over the couple of years, the institute formed strategic partnerships with many IT and technology giants such as Microsoft, Lotus and others. The institute also went through change in ownership, partly and by 2003 came its present state by being incorporated in the State of California.

It was in 2005 that the university received approval to grant undergraduate and graduate degrees. The institute has also progressed in providing quality online education, and besides having an up to date curriculum, it provides experiential learning and development of critical and analytical skills. CIU is based in Irvine in California.

California Intercontinental University is dedicated to providing quality education and experience in business, management and other fields. The students are taught and trained with the most innovative and technologically integrated resources. Not just education, the students are also accompanied with constant support from the Student Services Team. It is a team of professionals in the field of academics that help the students from day of their enrolment and throughout their study period. Not just this, the students also get to interact with others on group discussions. CIU is also military friendly institute providing Veteran Education Benefits Program. Not just this, but the institute has also been termed as providing military friendly education and programs. The campus colors are Dark Red and Blue.

Academic programs at the institute consist of undergraduate and graduate program. As part of undergraduate program offerings, it offers three Associate programs and six Bachelors programs. It also offers seven Masters Programs and five Doctorate level programs. It has study options in business, healthcare, information technology and others.
