Berkeley College is a Private college, operating as a for profit institution. It was founded in 1931 and the vision behind the college was to bring a unique experience of academics combined with a practical on job experience. The college provided higher education specialized in business and other professional areas when the idea of hands on experience wasn’t commonplace and with businesses and other spheres of professional field going through a global shift, the college served as a new idea to deal with newer challenges.

It is located in eight locations throughout New York (Manhattan, Brooklyn and White Plains) and New Jersey (Dover, Newark, Paramus, Woodland Park and Woodbridge Township). The college serves as an institute which not only prepares those looking for a more career based education but also those who are looking for a new career direction or goal to set and achieve.

Throughout all of its campuses, Berkeley aims to provide a quality campus life experience to all its students realizing the importance of involving students with each other, with the faculty and also the community through extracurricular activities. The campuses offer student governments, and student led organizations and activities which bring fun and entertainment to the campus. Students enjoy speaker sessions as well as field trips. There are also Honor Societies for students. Similarly, there are community engagement activities which involve both the students and the faculty as they take up on local charities and organizations working of community welfare. The campus also brings multicultural activities and cultural events which are aimed at increasing acceptance and diversity among its students. The college also has athletics as well as recreation opportunities at campus. Its mascot is a ‘Knight’ and its teams participate at the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) and United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
