The university also has religious affiliations with the Seventh-day Adventist Church which is among the largest networks providing healthcare and education services throughout the world. In close connection with the church, ADU has always maintained spirituality as well as commitment towards people and instills the same values in its students, in the hope of advancing the ‘healing ministry of Christ’.

ADU healthcare and health sciences programs are offered through its nine departments which include nursing, radiology, health and biomedical, diagnostic medical sonography and others.  It offers Associate, Bachelors and Masters Programs with each of its programs accredited through various licensing authorities. Three of these programs are also offered at the university’s Porter Adventist hospital based campus in Denver, Colorado.
