About University of Washington-Bothell
UW Bothell is a public higher education institute offering graduate as well undergraduate programs. The present day university was founded in 1989 by the Washington State Legislature with instructions beginning in 1990. It was established in the region to provide academic excellence for the growing need of the people of the region. It is based in Bothell, Washington.
It is part of the University of Washington and with its quality programs and value providing education has become one of the fastest growing institutes in the state of Washington. The four year university is also accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCC).
University of Washington-Bothell understands the learning of its students and is motivated to inspire them and indulge them into creative activities. To prepare the students for the real world challenges and to empower them, the students are encouraged to take part in representative body called Associated Students of the University of Washington Bothell which serves student interests. For the new students, there is plenty of orientation and transition programs which help them get around campus and introduces them to the campus activities. There are also student clubs which provide for activities and healthy engagement for the students and build relationships, personal and professional with each other. Students also have the opportunity to participate in Club Council and Campus Activities Board where they get to be a part of and enjoy various programs and events. The university also provides counselling for students and career services, assisting the students to make the most of their learning and development opportunities. There are also recreational opportunities such as fitness programs, intramural activities, sports club and more. The university’s official mascot is ‘husky’.
The university’s academic program offerings include 55 undergraduate and graduate level programs, with both day and evening classes, full time as well as part time students.
