LIM College About LIM College

LIM College is a private for-profit college focused on fashion business. The college is established in 1939 by Maxwell F. Marcuse as the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising. It aimed at fulfilling the requests from retailers to teach students about the fashion business and merchandising. In 2009, the college name was changed to LIM College.

LIM campus is located in Midtown Manhattan including 4 buildings which include 3 academic buildings; the Townhouse, Fifth Avenue and Maxwell Hall in addition to 1760 residence hall.

LIM offers undergraduate programs in 7 majors granting bachelor and associate degrees. Some programs are also offered online. It also offers 4 graduate programs; 2 of which are also offered online. Studying at the college has unique structure as students are required to complete internships during 3 years out of the four years of the study. They have to work 150 hours during the freshman year and 150 hours during the sophomore year. They work full time during the spring of their senior year. LIM is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs.
