John F. Kennedy is a non-profit private university located in Pleasant Hill, California. The first class started in 1965 with around 50 students. The university aimed at providing affordable non-traditional continuing higher education. It mainly focuses on providing opportunities for adult students who want to join university study. The JFK University joined in 2009 the National University System.

The University currently has 3 campuses in Pleasant Hill City, San Jose City and Berkeley City in California in addition to the National University System Student Success Center located at Stoneridge Shopping Center.

JFK is divided into three colleges offering 2 bachelor’s completion programs, 7 master’s programs, 3 doctoral programs in addition to 5 certificate programs. It is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges which is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. The last affirmation was obtained in 2016. It has specialized accreditation for some programs as the law program which is accredited by the Committee of Bar Examiners of the State.
