Coleman University About Coleman University

Coleman is a private and non profit institute that provides higher education in the field of Information Technology basically. It was founded in the year 1963 and following the growth of electronic data processing and the career opportunities it brought and started as Coleman College. It expanded its academic offerings as the technology advanced, adding Associate and Bachelor’s in Sciences and also creating a Department of Computer Technology.

It gradually added more departments and by 2008 transitioned as a university, changing name to Coleman University. Located in San Diego, California the university is the oldest technology based institute in the state and since its beginning has been committed to being the source of successful careers in the field of technology and allowing each student for self attainment.

At Coleman, students are the most valuable resource and so the university puts in every effort and provides every resource paving the way for students to achieve the best results. It looks after the students and since the institute is about carving successful careers for each one of the individuals that starts its journey at Coleman, it provides a Career Services department that help students in planning a great career ahead. The department not only brings the best career and job opportunities to the campus but also prepare its students for interviews, assist them in writing resumes, and prepare for the interviews by having mock sessions. With all the efforts students put in for serious work, the university also offers its students to be part of its two Honor Societies, Alpha Beta Kappa National Honor Society (ABK) or National Technical Honor Society (NTHS).

As for the academic programs, Coleman offers undergraduate programs under four fields of study and three Master’s degree programs. The university programs are accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS).
