City College About City College

City College is a private coeducational higher education institute which started in 1984 as Draughon’s College of Business. It was a branch of the Draughons Junior College, however within three years was taken over and established as Career City College. Within a year it started adding campuses to it and by 1989 was also awarding its first Associate degree. It wasn’t before 1999 when the college started awarding Bachelor’s degrees.

It adopted its present name in 1994, as City College, Inc. and is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The college is committed strongly to preparing its students for progressive careers in their desired fields. It offers innovative approach towards learning, with added practical experience, and transforming students into self motivated individuals.

The college offers many advantages over other institutes. It offers those fields of study that have high career prospects and then the education at the institute comes with practical experience. Students enjoy learning with faculty that are expert in their respective fields. The faculty are industry professionals and so bring present day experience and career knowledge like no other. With small classroom advantage, the students enjoy a personal and up close interaction with their teachers which allows individualised attention and growth. For those of its students that lack or fall behind are provided with additional tutoring and coaching for free. Students also take part in ‘Ambassador Program’ where they provide peer help in making the most out of their time at the college. These ambassadors help with academic and other personal development problems that need attention. Another great advantage at the college is that it is a multi campus facility and has five campuses in Altamonte Springs, Fort Lauderdale, Gainesville, Hollywood and Miami Further extension towards those who wish to begin their journeys with the college is provided through Online programs. The college also exercises student interaction with each other and the community through events such as Blood Drives, Career Fair, workshops and other.

There are 20 academic programs offered at the college; 15 Associate level programs and 5 Bachelor level programs.
