Bellin College About Bellin College

BC is a medical and healthcare school and a private institute that was founded as Deaconess Sanitarium Training School for Nurses in the year 1909 by Dr. Julius Bellin. Originally the vision for the school was to train nurses to work at the Deaconess Santarium and other Green Bay, Wisconsin hospitals. It later got into a partnership with Milwaukee Children’s Hospital but that didn’t last long as it got shut down due to lack of faculty.

The college reopened in the year 2009, renamed as Bellin College and relocated to its present location in Bellevue, Wisconsin. With its programs incorporated with hands-on experience based learning, the college aims to produce experts and leaders in the field.

The campus life at BC is that of one big community. The students take part in many activities around the campus, finding their place in the student-run clubs and organizations. Through these, they get to work as ambassadors to the college, be part of associations and professional education clubs. There are also the colleges’ Honor societies. The students also have the opportunity to brush up on their leadership skills and work as student representatives by taking part in the Student Government Committee and Student Senate. Students also have the opportunity to organize trips which provides them further opportunity to integrate, not just on the campus but also outside the campus. For Student success in their academic endeavors, the college offers support in the form of academic advising, student success center and career services; all of which are directed towards improving the chances of success for its students through counseling, guidance and providing opportunities in various capacities. Furthermore, the campus is well equipped with labs such as simulation labs, birthing labs, etc and the latest technology to help students learn better through practice and real-life situations.

The academic programs consist of Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences, Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Master of Science in Nursing and also options for non-degree seeking students. Its prominent facility is the Hendrickson Library.
