Keiser University has a long and proud history that began back in 1977 when Evelyn Kaiser and her son Arthur created the Kaiser School, a career college.  Originally created to prepare the students for the growing healthcare and business communities in Ft. Lauderdale, the school went through many changes over the next decades. 

Although most of the students that attend Keiser University are from the United States, there are students who attend from all over the globe. With 14 campuses available, a variety of degrees available, and classes online, it offers great flexibility to its students.

  • 1982 - Computer and paralegal programs added and name changed to Keiser Institute of Technology.
  • 1986 - Associate degrees were added and the name was changed to Keiser College.
  • 2001 - Bachelor’s degree programs added
  • 2006 - Name changed to Keiser University
  • 2009 - Keiser University gained approval to award doctoral degrees.
